A brief sample of the work being developed by my 1st year students at the Universidad Mundial in San José del Cabo.
The studio aims to trigger the creativity of 1st year students (2nd cuatrimester), through the exploration of 2d and 3d creativity exercises.
In this exercise the task was to discover the aesthetic and structural capacities of a simple material (a sheet of paper) as well as a simple geometrical shape (a plane), by folding it and thinking about complex geometries that could emerge from the combination of simple rules (simple folds).
No software was used in the generation of this forms, just the observation, thinking and paper folding from students.
